On Wednesday, February 17, 2010 the GALS had their first Leadership Conference at UNUM Insurance Company. Twelve GALS and four future GALS attended the conference. The conference consisted of interviewing skills, etiquette and presentation, resume preparation and executive panel, and a working lunch. The conference was a big success for all who attended. The girls also participated in an essay contest titled “What have you learned during today’s conference and how will you apply this to your life?”. The winner of the essay contest was Precious Ansah. For her insightful thoughts on her experience at the conference, Precious won a scholarship to La Femmina Modeling Center in Worcester. Everyone who made the conference possible deserves a big thanks!
