Girls Inc. of Worcester invites you to be part of our Girls Celebration Event 2012!
Girls Incorporated of Worcester celebrates our signature event of the year - Girls Celebration 2012 to honor teen girl awardees, including the Valerie S. Loring Girl of the Year, as well as local community leaders that truly exemplify Girls Inc.'s mission of inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold.sm
- Proceeds support the Girls Inc. of Worcester's Scholarship Fund.
- There will be light appetizers and both live and silent auctions. Sample items for the live and silent auctions can be seen below. We welcome pre-bids up to May 1st!
Girls Inc.'s expressive arts dance troupe, Dear World: Voices of Worcester Girls, will give a special presentation, and will highlight what it is like growing up in today's world. They will address challenges such as peer-pressure, body image, healthy relationships, and bullying.

The event will also feature our special guest speaker, Cherylann Gengel, who with her family has established the non-profit organization 'Be Like Brit' in honor of her daughter, Brittany Gengel. Cherylann Gengel and the 'Be Like Brit' Foundation strive to "serve the children of Haiti by establishing a safe, nurturing and sustainable orphanage in an environment where they can grow, learn & thrive." They respect this mission in honor of Brittany Gengel, whose passion and care for others extended long past her family and friends, and reached towards those less fortunate.
