Girls Inc. of Worcester in partnership with the Women's Initiative of the United Way of Central Massachusetts welcomes all 7th and 8th grade girls to our annual Career Day, on April 11, 2012. Here, 7th and 8th grade girls can discover their future by meeting successful, inspirational women who work in a variety of rewarding professions. Partnering with the Women's Initiative of the United Way of Central Massachusetts, Girls Inc. of Worcester offers this amazing opportunity for both girls and mentors. Please provide your own transportation.
The girls have the opportunity to go to our Career Fair, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. The Career Fair is followed by an hour of mentor networking from 5:00pm to 6:00pm. This event enables the girls to learn about what they want to do in the future by learning from people in the field, and allows the mentors to give back to their community, explaining how they become the successful women that they are today. Mentors range from Lawyers to Doctors to Cosmetologists.
