Girls Incorporated of Worcester announces a new program being offered for girls ~ Lady Leonardos. Lady Leonardos is a one week program for girls going into grades 6 to 8 and will be held during the week of Monday-Friday, July 6-10 from 9am–4pm at Winthrop House. This program is based on the book, How to Think Like Leonardo Da Vinci by Michael Geib, participants will use the Seven Steps to Genius Everyday: curiosity, experience, sensation, dealing with change, balancing arts and sciences, balancing mind and body, and finding connections among all parts of our world.
The program will include field trips to: The STEM resource lab at UMass Memorial to do science experiments, Mechanics Hall for a tour from the basement to the attics, Worcester Art Museum with behind the scenes tour, Institute Park for a scavenger hunt, plus life mapping, blogging/journaling and great discussions!For 93 years, Girls Incorporated of Worcester has continuously evolved to meet the changing needs of girls in our community.
