Many of you know Dr. Laurie Leshin, as the first female president in the 150 year history of WPI and as an accomplished academic and administrative leader, geochemist, and space scientist. President Leshin is focused on elevating the impact of WPI with a human heart and a global reach, believing passionately that the way WPI approaches STEM learning and discovery is the way it should be approached.
We couldn’t agree more! We know her as an extraordinary role model who takes time out of her busy schedule to meet with our teens every summer in the labs on campus. She elevates the experience by sharing her head and heart by inspiring them with stories of how mentors
empowered her when she was their age. This is truly a highlight of the summer for Dr. Leshin, the girls, and staff!! Congratulations and THANK YOU, Dr. Leshin, for this and so much more.
