Nomination Criteria

GIRLS INC. ADVOCATE FOR GIRLS AWARD

Girls Incorporated of Worcester is now accepting nominations for the 2011 Advocate for Girls Award. This award will be presented on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at the Girls Inc. Celebration of Girls event, to be held at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center at the Blais Pavilion in the Aaron Lazare Research Building from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Umass and Space

Another day at Umass to learn more about space. Today it was in shrewsbury where we took a tour of a stimulator labatory. We learned that medical students and brand new doctors practice on dummies that can do anything a real patient can do in the hospital. We got to see an average aged man, ten year old boy, a pregnant woman, and a newborn baby dummies. It was really cool to see stuff like that. We also got to see how doctors learn how to tell if the breathing or heartbeat
