WORCESTER, MA, May 1, 2007 -- Girls Incorporated of Worcester will recognize six outstanding girls and women at its Girls Celebration Event on Thursday, May 10, 2007, starting at 5:00 p.m. held at the Blais Pavilion of the Lazare Research Building at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, 55 Lake Avenue North in Worcester. Michelle St. Denis will be presented with the Valerie S. Loring Award and both Allison Andrews and Rita Sullivan will be presented with the Ann J. Prouty Community Leader Award. These girls demonstrate courage and perseverance, generosity and compassion, dedication and sincerity, and vision and leadership throughout their community. Lois Green and Meridith Wesby will be honored as the Girls Incorporated of Worcester 2007 Advocate for Girls for their leadership and vision in establishing the Women's Initiative at the United Way of Central Massachusetts. Our keynote speaker will be D'Anne Hurd, Vice President for Business Development at Gateway Park, and university General Counsel at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
