Girls Inc. of Worcester received support for its STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) programs:
- Eureka! (grades 8-12)
- Operation SMART (grades K-6)
- Summer STEM (grades 7-12)
- Thinking SMART (grades 7-8)
As the majority of the 350 girls involved in these programs are between the ages of 10-14, we are reaching them at a juncture when many girls’ interest in these subjects is at risk of declining.

With the financial support from these corporations, foundations, and higher education partners, Girls Inc. of Worcester will continue to offer young women in greater Worcester the opportunity to learn and grow in the field of STEM. For girls, building self-assurance in their abilities in STEM areas early in their education is key, as is ongoing reinforcement throughout high school.
