Worcester's Girls Inc., Girls on the Run, receive grants to expand educational programs
Girls Inc. of Worcester will receive a $250,000 grant, and Girls on the Run Worcester County will receive a $33,480 one-year grant.
The $250,000 grant over five years will support Eureka! and Eureka! JV for Framingham, an expansion of Girls Inc. of Worcester’s full-year STEM and leadership programs for girls in grades 6-12.

With the hot temperatures this week, Girls Inc. is taking extra precautions to keep campers safe.
To beat the heat outside, sprinklers are set up for the 100 girls at the camp to run through. Their building also has an indoor pool.
CEO Victoria Waterman says campers are being taught how to swim while also cooling down. She says they're also reminding girls how to stay healthy in the heat.

Girls Inc. of Worcester Announces Expansion
Central/MetroWest—Girls Inc. of Worcester and South Middlesex Opportunity Council (SMOC) have partnered together to engage up to 150 under-resourced girls in grades 6-12 from the Framingham area in multi-year STEM and Leadership programming starting in the summer of 2021.
